Dr. Julian Rodriguez earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from California State University in Fullerton, culminating in a Doctorate of Education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. His career in public education spans 21 years as a classroom teacher, site administrator, and district office administrator. Since 2022, Dr. Rodriguez has also served as an Adjunct Professor and curriculum writer for the Riverside Office of Education’s CTE Teacher Credentialing Program.

Dr. Rodriguez’s commitment to high-quality CTE programs was shaped by his own experience as an adult CTE student. After high school, he enrolled in a Health Services program at his local adult school. After ten years in a high-skill, high-wage behavioral health career, he was financially and personally prepared to return to college and complete his undergraduate degree and teaching credentialing without incurring debt.

After making his transition to the Chino Valley Unified School District in 2014, Dr. Rodriguez served as a coordinator, then Director of Assessment and Instructional Technology, before his promotion to Director of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction. During his nine years in CVUSD, he led teams that amassed regional and statewide recognition. Dr. Rodriguez was named superintendent of SoCal ROC in July 2023
