The Career Guidance Specialists assist and provide career pathway guidance for students and parents in selecting a Career Technical Education program based on student interest...
We are the leaders in providing current and relevant Career Technical Education programs that are meeting today’s job demands and careers of the future! Part of the California public school system, our programs are offered to high schools students as well as adults in the South Bay and surrounding communities.
We understand the importance of not only providing our students with theory-based instruction but the opportunity to apply that knowledge through “hands-on” learning activities. Many of the programs offered at SoCal ROC also offer on-the-job training or extern components as well.
There is a difference between just having a job versus doing something for which you have a passion and can earn a good living. SoCal ROC’s programs and career pathways will provide you with the quality educational experiences that will tap into your passion and open doors to exciting career opportunities. I am thrilled that you have chosen SoCal ROC to pursue your career interest. I know you will understand very quickly why our motto is “Education with a Purpose!”

Save SoCal Regional Occupational Center
The Southern California Regional Occupational Center (SoCal ROC) is at risk and I ask that you join my efforts to save this institution.
Founded in 1967, SoCal ROC has served as a model for innovation and career technical education (CTE) for the state. Each year, SoCal ROC prepares over 9,000 people for careers in California's ever-changing economy. However, under Governor Brown's proposed budget, SoCal ROC is at risk of losing its direct funding. Unless the budget changes, this crown jewel of the South Bay will be eliminated.
That's why I am urging the Governor to amend his proposed budget to protect SoCal ROC. Before the Governor revises the state budget this May, contact him to let him know you want to save the Southern California Regional Occupational Center.
