This course will offer students the opportunity to acquire advanced animal principles and prepare students for advanced post-secondary level education in animal science, biology, and/or zoology by providing a sound platform for students to master the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a rewarding career as part of the veterinary professional team dedicated to providing the best animal and public health care available.

Learn Valuable Industry Skills!

This course will incorporate research methods to perform in depth studies of
veterinary science including veterinary medical math, anatomy and physiology of animals,
laboratory science skills and advanced communication and critical thinking skills while also
exploring various veterinary field career paths that include private veterinary practice
medicine, large animal medicine, animal research and exotic animal medicine.

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the SoCal ROC Veterinary Science course.

In order to enroll in the program, students must:

High school 

  •  Open to Grade Levels 9-12th
  •  Have a "C" or better in Math and Science
  •  Completed our Veterinary Assistant course with a Certificate of Completion
  •  A signed Student Waiver and Release Form is required.

Adult

  •  High School Diploma or GED  (translated into English) 
  •  Completed our Veterinary Assistant course with a Certificate of Completion
  •  A signed Student Waiver and Release Form is required.
  • Purchase of apparel and materials is required for adults, but is optional for our district high school students. Please contact registration for full list.
