The Career Center provides services that include: interest assessment and career research information, aptitude assessment, and assistance with job search skills. Career awareness assessment is available for high school and adult students. Students are encouraged to use the Career Center as a study area to make up work assignments, or use the Computer Lab for research projects or other study related purposes as needed prior to class or after class hours. The scheduled Career Center hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
SoCal ROC Awards a Record Number of Scholarships to SoCal ROC Students
Truly a recognition of "All Stars", 37 high school and adult students throughout the South Bay received scholarships totaling over $37,000 for their outstanding achievements in the area of Career Technical Education
Job Services Assistance
Job services assistance is available through the Career Center. Resource manuals are available in the Career Center for students to research various job leads which have been provided by local employers. The Job Services Coordinator is available to discuss those job leads and provide assistance to students interested in a particular area. Workshops are also provided for students to assist in providing employment preparation and job finding skills.
Career Guidance Specialists
Career Guidance Specialists work closely with the high school Counselors, acting as the career resource liaison to assist with student enrollment and registration for all classes offered both on site and at the center campus. The Career Guidance Specialists assist and provide career pathway guidance for students and parents in selecting a Career Technical Education program based on student interest and appropriate placement in a program. High school students may consult with the following Career Guidance Specialists as assigned:
