2018 SoCal ROC Fashion Show: “The Business of Fashion”

Torrance, CA – SoCal ROC hosted its annual fashion show titled “The Business of Fashion” on Thursday, May 31, 2018. The doors opened at 5:30 p.m. when students displayed their wares with pop up shops. There were t-shirts, succulents, tote bags, and several other items for sale.

After months of sketching, sewing, and draping, the Fashion Design course was proud to bring student designs to the forefront for the tenth year in a row. The aspiring fashion designers exhibited their lines of clothing for men and women. The show started at 7:00 p.m. with student fashions and models. After the show, guests interacted with the student designers, visited the pop-up shops, and enjoyed light refreshments.

The Fashion Design class collaborated with other SoCal ROC programs to put on the show. Cosmetology students styled the models’ hair and make-up. The Floral Design class crafted floral arrangements that outlined the runway. The Digital Photography class displayed student artwork/photography and took photos during the event.
